Hi Everyone, Christmas is just around the corner and the big question is bombarding in, what should l get? I have been getting this question ever since the start of November, and its been really puzzling, many people that have been asking me are into Android. With the release of the Nexus 4 the choose is making it even harder to choose, I've narrowed it down to three contestants Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Note 2, and LG Optimus G. I would like to know what you would prefer l would like to answer with the Nexus 4 but then no SD card slot which to me is annoying and with the Galaxy line and the LG you have to wait for the Andriod updates. Storage doesn't bother me so much, so the Nexus 4 is a great option and also looking at the price, it's unbeatable. You can learn to live without the SD card, trust me. I however, can't have the patience to wait for updates. Some updates bring nifty new features and improvements, and that is one thing that I think shouldn't be held back because say Samsung is too lazy to push it out. If the SD card matters a lot, then go with the other phones. I personally prioritize updates, so I myself am waiting for the Nexus 4's availability to go grab one myself.

If you're an Android purist the Nexus 4 can't be beat.
If you're dead-set on an SD-Card then the Galaxy S3 is your best bet. I do advise that you learn the in's and out's of ROMs because it comes with a modified version of Android called TouchWiz, and personally I can't stand the sight of it. There are some pure AOSP (Pure Android) ROMs for it, which I would use.
All in all it comes down to your personal tastes and preferences and just how involved you want to get.

@Zbob750 & AlphaMike, Thanks for the quick answers! I was told about the customs ROMs and that, but I'm unfamiliar with the Android Eco system as l am a long time iOS user but planning of giving android a try. If someone could kindly direct me to a video or a article showing how l would use AOSP ROMs 4.2 Jellybean on the GS3 that would be great. And one more question with the SD Card what is its purpose is it just for photos and videos or can you put apps and Multimedia stuff on it. Thanks for reading Blake_Cond
