Should I wait for another iPad to come out to buy an iPad?

do you need the product now? do you want the product now? chances are if its a successful product it will always be somewhat into a product cycle. trouble is this is the first of its kind by apple, people are assuming it will have a 12 month cycle, where is it could be a 18 or 24 month cycle depending on sales.

it would be in apples best interest for everyone to own a version one and then everyone buy a version 2 aswell, so its sometimes ideal to make people wait longer than usual for the second invission of the product, similarity to if the ipad bombed three months later you could expect a reinvented version. having said this its simply up to you,

if you got enough tech in your home/on the go already, do you need it? or is it just a wanted item.

That's a decision only you can make. You have to consider whether you'll be gaining anything by waiting (saving your money, having time to evaluate possible competing products that may come between now and the next-hot-new-release you're eager for, etc.)

My husband and I just had this discussion, since he wanted an iPad and Father's Day is coming up. He wanted to know if he should wait until a 4G compatible iPad was released, but after talking it through, we discovered a wifi iPad perfectly meets his needs. Last night, he ordered a 64GB wifi iPad and, for him, it will be perfect.

For me, I'm in a wait and see mode. I do not currently have a need for the form factor or duplicate (in a sense, to my iPhone) functionality an iPad would provide. For me, sitting this product cycle/generation out and focusing my limited resources (money) on other priorities is beneficial.

I dont know if i could wait another year for and upgraded ipad. The first generation of any product is always a bit buggy but i could put up with it.

It is most certainly a wanted item, but kind of a need, because I need to do presentation and documents on it. And I have the money.

You may want to wait in general for an Ipad or an Ipad alternative. Ever since the Ipad was released alot of other companies have been scrambling to come up with their own version. Wait and keep saving!

Ya, I guess you could call me eager, but it is cool, you have to admit. I have a Youtube channel that I do tech help for (www.youtube.com/howtodoudothat) and people really want me to get it. Although I would only buy the 16 GB wifi model. I still have the iPod Touch 1G and it works fine.

i would certainly buy it now if you have spare money, but if not id wait. i cant think of that big an improvement in the next version except a camera, and a better battery, and a little faster processor, i would not hold back from buying it now because of those reasons

If you have the paitence to wait...then wait. But honestly, just get one and enjoy it now. Why? Because this is the first of a device that will be very famous someday...and rare. One day, you could sell it! And, for now you can also enjoy it, because it's the best device I've ever used!
