I use Windows Media Center and the other day the icon disappeared from my desktop. I clicked the start menu, where it has always been listed at the top (Windows 7), and it wasn't there. I searched the whole drive for "Windows Media Center" and nothing came up.
So how do I get the shortcut back? The only way to launch WMC, as I know of, is to go into the recorded tv folder and launch a show or use my WMC remote.
I'm on Windows 7 and my OS is installed on a 120gb ssd.

Right click on your desktop and select "Create Shortcut" and then do as this picture shows with the directory:
This will launch Windows Media Center. The reason it didn't show in search is that it is not titled Windows Media Center in the title.
