I may be wrong here (thus the question) but is there not a major design flaw in this site. Why is the person asking the question picking the accepted answer? Does it not make more sense that the people who answered would pick the accepted answer. I know that the thumbs up and thumbs down "rating system" is there but i see these as separate entities. In my opinion a thumbs up represents a good answer and so the same user can give multiple thumbs up to different answers within the same question. The accepted answer should however represent the most accepted answer as voted by users and each user should only be able to choose one answer as the accepted answer (with ability to change vote in light of new answers or information).
