Do you think society is making things too complicated? Do you think the world's infrastructure(?) needs some redesigning?

As time goes on we come up with different things that make things 'easier'. These things are added onto everything else which tend to make that 'easier' thing a lot more complicated. Take the U.S. government for example. We have 3 branches of the federal government which is nice and simple. Then all of a sudden we have all these different departments, bureaus, association, etc. As time goes on we keep creating new ones and adding them onto the government. Eventually some are combined just like with the Department of Homeland Security after the 9-11 accident. Have you also ever noticed how difficult it is to accomplish a simple task?

Society is trying to make things simpler but all these new things create miscommunication and causes more chaos. What do you think?

i think its getting over thought, things used to be simple right and wrong, good and bad, on the other hand technology and general need for thinking is getting far less, we are making a stupid society

Yeah i thought about technology and it actually making us stupider and making things a lot easier for us to do, which then most would assume would lead to laziness and stupidity; however, i think that it actually makes us smarter because our brain can only handle so much. For what our world is coming to we need all this technology to improve productivity rates to keep everything going. Basically my thought is that technology allows us to comprehend more than our brain can handle. It serves as a support more than a guide.
