I am not necessarily willing to "pay top dollar" for my favorite brand name's products. However, I am definitely more apt to feel their pricing is fair if I trust and respect a brand and have formed a belief that it provides a superior value (to me and my family) over competing brands.
Two of my favorite and most trusted brands:
-
Ford Motor Company - because they make solid vehicles that have served my immediate and extended family well, and (bonus) they're the only U.S. automobile manufacturer that didn't take Federal government "bailout" funds... zero, zilch, nada [Full Disclosure: I am also a Ford shareholder, and their stock has treated my retirement fund very, very well thus far!]
-
**Amazon.com - I've been an Amazon customer since the year they were founded, and even though I have had a few negative experiences with them, they have always made the situation right. I trust them and they provide my family and I tremendous convenience and value. [Full Disclosure: I am also an Amazon.com shareholder; it's only natural to invest in the company's you most trust or feel provide value.]
