After being in the Apple store with my iPhone answering questions on this site, and I wondered. Should OSQA (the code that runs this site), or this site have a mobile version. Cause it was a little bit of a trouble to answer questions on an iPhone. I know this is a beta, but something to keep in mind for later thought. If you like the idea, please support it by voting the idea up here and on the platform's site. Update (1): I would like to inform you people that the issue/feature is the top voted feature wanted. Thanks for the help. Hope OSQA gets this feature. Keep it up |

Kevin, if I were you, I'd submit a feature request on http://jira.osqa.net/ and see how many people vote for it. I'm totally with you, BTW. Not sure how well it works on the iPad, either. It worked well on the ipad with its large screen when I tested it while bing in the apple store, but with the small screen on an iPhone, it kept jumping up and down of the page. Saw it submitted: http://jira.osqa.net/browse/OSQA-298 yep, I submitted that. You know how much it was a pain to see what you were touch typing. So by "mobile" you meant you want a better way to input text from a mobile device? Like ink/touch support? Just a separate layout of the site for mobile devices I voted. :) The problem, of course, is that mobile devices support a wide variety of resolutions. What resolution should mobile be optimized for? :) Just something to keep in mind as you track your jira bug. Chris, I noticed some serious issues with the site on my iPad. If I had a page that in order to get to the bottom you have to scroll, it would move to the top of the page when you trying to leave a comment. Although, if you did not have to scroll down it would not have that issue. I want a mobile one for PSP or Archos.

There are definitely issues when trying to post on the iPad. You cannot see what you are typing because it defaults to the top of the post when the keyboard appears. I assume the same occurs on the iPhone. I wonder if other "smart" phones have this problem? An adjusted version needs to be developed to eliminate this problem. |

Thumbs up from me, a mobile version would be great. |

a mobile version would be interesting. i would like to see one
I'm sure a simple app with infrequent ads for the iPad/phone isn't such a tall order!
yeh maybe not, but not all life revolves around apple
@tim009 they can make an Android version too for the people that have android
I said mobile version of the site and not an app because we want a neutral service that can be used in many sites that use the OSQA platform (not a specific app that only works on one site). Also with the cost of having the availability of developing an app (Apple). Also, we want the platform to be used in many devices, Android, iPhone, Symbian, etc.
