I personally say ATI, but that is just because I've always liked ATI more.

My personal preference is Nvidia with features like CUDA. especially for games like borderlands which has been made with heavy involvement from Nvidia.

On top of his "better is relative, some people would argue that xyz is better because it's better for a certain game"... Speed, VRAM capacity, compatibility and power conservation are all aspects that can form the basis of a comparison in this case. Ask a question that can be answered!
