Do you think that the world has too much health and safety rules and are limiting our freedom to do things?

No, "Ohh, the goverment is bad because they don't let us kill ourselves!", that's just nonsense.

Aldo this is actually bad for evolution (natural selection becomes NO selection).

i think it's got a lot to do with this culture of sueing people over miner trips and falls, or practically anything that a few years ago if it happened you would be telling your friends/family, now your telling your lawyer. lol

people dont like being sued, so put in place all these rules, so if anything happens it's your fault insted of theirs.

I think that most of it is a good idea, however, most of it is just common sense. Like don't stick your finger in a machine whilst its running, so you have to put a guard on it. But this is a good thing in the case of an accident where you might slip and stick your finger in.

I think so But just remember those rules are there to protect us! You might think it is stupid if you re getting a extension built onto your house and the builders might say that you have to sleep with a hard hat on just in case the roof falls down you might think that will never happen to me (How do you know)?

definatly is out of control.

there was a story in the news, that a women who worked for years (about 15 years i think) for a catering production company, she ate 1, just 1 nut from the line, and got fired because it was a breech of health and safety rules!

There are some things that are a little nit picky and are silly, but most of it is there for good reason and to make sure your employer reduces the risk of your workplace. People can fall on poorly maintained pavement and break bones because as your body gets older it gets brittle. Not a problem for us young guns.

It's also there to protect the employer. If you break your leg because you did not follow proper health and safety procedures that your employer fully instructed you on then thats your problem.

Most health and safety has been introduced because of people having accidents or it's there to prevent an accident.

Workers used to always fall off bridges because there was no safety equipment around.

If people were not so greedy and did no sue over the most minor or things then potentially we may have less health and safety. All because they wanted that 50 inch tv...
