I've never heard about this, but I have a pretty good idea...

Mosques are the temple of the Muslim faith. Americans ignorantly blame Muslims for the 9-11 attacks.

By that logic, if it were true, allowing a mosque to be built on the site of a muslim attack would be a form of sacrilege.

It's not even ON the site, it's a few blocks away, on an old shoe factory, where a motor of one of the planes felt and made it close.

Americans often forget about all the muslims who died on that day. How many were they? 400, I think.

The 9/11 attacks were done by terrorists.

Not every muslim is a terrorist...

Because they are are thinking emotionality and not rationally. Yes 9/11 was bad but that doesn't mean that all Muslims are bad guys they have the right to their own religion as long as they don't hurt anyone else. The building is a private building so the owner has the right to build there what he wants.

If it was a church there would be no objections...It isent near ground zero really...they want a mosque...what is wrong with that =/

I am one of the people who believe 9/11 was a government ploy to engage in war for oil and it would help save the economy

Look out, double post. There wouldn't, but should be objections to a church. If you're right about the economy, then GOV FAIL! lol.

Agreed. It's still bad form on the part of those Muslims. There are about 30 other existing mosques nearby. Why go where you're NOT wanted? Almost a disrepectful/defiant/taunting gesture. That's like building a Cinnabon across the street from Weight Watchers, Liquor Store next to Alcoholics Anonymous, KKK Parade in front of NAACP ...

Muslims are not bad people. The people who did the 9/11 attack were bad people. They could have been Christians just as much as they could have been Muslims.

You really shouldn't be so disrespectful to other religions or atheists like me.

Some people like being angry and sometimes there aren't things that they can be angry about so they write random things and put them in a hat then pick something at random and what ever comes out, they get uncontrollably angry over it.
