Steve Jobs. Do you like him or not? Explain why you like him or not. |
I kinda like Steve Jobs, I think he can be a little arrogant at times but all around a nice guy :) |
You know, this is ridiculous. You people are all basing your negative opinions on someone whom you've never even met personally. You're basing your opinions off this persona that you "see on TV and internet". Personally, I think Steve Jobs is a very interesting person. He is a very "busy" person, and is full of a lot of energy which I'm sure gets pulled in about 4,796 different directions each day/week/month, etc. Some people consider him "arrogant". Okay, what makes him arrogant? The fact that he won't settle for crap products on the shelf? Because he's always strived to be the best and do the best he and his company can? He hates drama, doesn't tolerate life's daily congestion of BS and stupid people, which to me, makes him okay in my book. Then, some of you judge him by the clothing (blue jeans and black long-sleeved shirt). Nobody judges a priest because they wear a black shirt and a white-square collar; nobody judges certain people because they wear baseball caps all the time; why should anyone judge what Steve "wears"? Secondly, and more importantly...W H O - C A R E S?? He's wearing what feels comfortable to him, and what he likes, and that's all that matters. Some people say "he has a temper". Big deal. You, the reader probably have one yourself...big deal. Who cares? as to someone's comment about the "work environment" at Apple, if you know anything about Apple at all, and it's history, you know that generally what people refer to as the that "work atmosphere", is the days in the early-mid-late 1980's. I'm not a "Jobs Fan Boy" or anything, I'm just saying, cut the man some slack. What did he ever do to you? |
I don't like what he does always. But he is a great guy with a great brain. He is the reason Apple exists and has done so well. I don't really like Apple though because everything is so controlled. |
He seems like a pretty fun chilled guy, but I hear he can have a temper. You never know with these corperate CEO's to be honest. Are they just trying to look like nice fun guys to the public eye..But really behind the scenes he is a sinister a**? Who knows. |
I like him for his ideas. But don't like the fact that he can get really, really arrogant at times. |
Steve Jobs is a fantastic designer, and always has a terrific eye for aesthetics. But... he is an arrogant, self-absorbed -blam-hole to the rest of the world. |
I don't know him personally, so it's hard to necessarily judge his him on whether I like him or not. From all that I've picked up from indirect ways, I'd say I'm on the favoring side. I think people try to look too far into things and assume false truths, leading them saying they love or hate Steve... when they know so little about him. |
He could be nicer (from what I hear he parks in handicapped parking spaces when he's running late) but I like what he does and people obviously want to watch him present, since WWDC sold out in 8 days. |
i like Apple products, but i dislike Steve Jobs. but without him, Apple probably wouldn't exist right now. so i give him some credit. |

I can not use the adjective I prefer because Chris doesn't will not tolerate any post to survive which offends some of the little darlings who cruise this site.
But.... I think Steve Jobs is a putz.Someone needs to help my boy Steve with that wardrobe of his. Whasadeal there Steve? Black Ops or something like that. You can bet he doesn't have dandruff.Black drawers, too? Yuk. And we've all heard about the work environment at Apple. Man, I'd hate to be his dog. OTOH, Woz comes off as a nice guy.
I can't stand the putz. He's an arrogant,pompous,self-righteous ass, then difficult to work with from what I hear and generally a lying paranoid. Plus, the black shirts. I mean, ever heard of a Polo or a button down dude? He has a reputation for treating his employees like serfs and he exploits foreign labor at America's expense. Fifteen years ago, Apple was on the ropes - it had less money than necessary to for 60 days payroll. Bill Gates came to Apple's rescue with cash and stock purchases. I wish he had let 'em die on the vine-it would have been the decent thing to do. Macboys have quite a model there....
Right on David but I think it's more of the user's fault for having an over moderated site. Some of the users just post things for the purpose of offending people and Chris can't be at fault individually because he's not active here very often and rarely removes content.
