What gender is God?

According to the Christian religion he is our father... so male?

everyone depicts him as male, but the Bible was written in a time where women were not even close to equal to men so people found it 'obvious' that God should be a man, but no one can know for sure until they make it up there.

I do not have a opinion on this, but from all the paintings and drawings of God, its 99% male.

He is not a being on earth, at least in the current form that as we know it. Therefore, he is not a particular gender. He is a being up above.

God is whichever gender you believe it/they to be.

What, you don't let other people tell you what you believe, do you? That's completely up to you.

The word "God" is multigender. And it isn't necessarily pointing to a Christan or other religion. So you can't answer the question because it is based on religion and your beliefs.

Well in my religion he is male. In the bible In the bible Jesus refers to God as "father".

God doesn't have a gender. He is either male of female, I think it depends on how he shows himself to people although in a lot of movies/books he's shown as male.

It is the possible idea of a father and mother God, kind of makes sense based on male and female, of course those who altered the books over the years took such details out.

Well seeing as "God" does not exist there is no gender... But because religion and "God" was created by humans in a time where men ruled, "God" is known as a male character.
