It seemed like overnight facebook took over. Why? It looked like they had basically the same things. I think its because myspace had to many things to do.

MySpace is adding a lot of useless tools and features that no one will ever really use, while Facebook is actually focusing on improving their service, privacy settings, and overall social network experience.

Myspace is a mess, so many people pages cannot even be read because they have clashing colors and music used to blare on when you went into someone pages, Facebook has a lot more order.

sexual predators. its not a safe environment for young people and mature people who don't want there eyes to melt when they see random peoples profile pictures. In the other hand facebook is moderated by facebook staff.

I'm a myspace layout site owner... and i've noticed it too. I have over 13k friend on my myspace account, where I used to be spammed on my feed every second.. now when i get on.. the last person to update was 45 minutes-1 hour before I checked it. I believe it's because it just got boring for most users. And the only GREAT things myspace had was music, commenting, and layouts. As opposed to facebook, where you can easily have a conversation with someone either on a wall post or the chatter. Granted, facebook doesn't have layouts or music, it is more professional and easier to socialize on.

Facebook has a simpler layout, no annoying noises or ads, it's innovative.
MySpace was a good network for its times, but better things have come. At the moment I can't see any social networks that are going to overtake facebook.
