will linux ever be the OS in every PC?

I know this could be said many times, I know that apple people love apple because of the simplicity of their OS and the cute PC the have and HIGH PERFORMANCE HARDWARE... not true... PC has much more hardware than apples devices... So in power I know for sure that PC will always be better than Macs, now... in the OS fight, what does OSX do that MS windows or Linux or BSD cant? What OS does apple use in their servers? OSX? or BSD? or UNIX? also... If software does not deppend on apples or MSs people and depends on other companys like ACTIVISION or EA... etc etc etc GOOGLE, etc etc etc... what would happen if devs start making apps for any single OS?

this question is very poorly written. very convoluted and confusing

as for the title, linux is open sourced, so i doubt itd be the os in every pc only because some people might not know the ins and out of linux
