Should i wait to buy an iPhone 4?

Steve Jobs physically bit his lip when asked about the iphone on Verizon's network. I plan on getting a iPhone 4 but "There might be... The future is long." Is not of much comfort to me considering. A. Signing up for a two year AT&T contract is a very long time, not to mention connectivity,and B. As we all know "the future is long" is not long in the tech industry. With the rapid changes in AT&T pricing schemes and the inability to compare choices should i wait to buy an iPhone 4? Or shall i take the dive, preorder and get locked in for two years?
