Animation software

Ok so im still learning blender 3d and its a great program but im looking for something that i can get things done faster? ive looked into cinema 4d maya 3d and 3ds max but im not sure i want to create a team of guys over the summer and make Shorts for youtube

0	Those are good tools. For cheaper alternatives, I use Rhino3D for modeling and Bryce for rendering. Keep in mind I'm far from a pro at this. answered May 31 '10 at 17:25 tsilb 21.0k●65●199●333

Well sadly if you're working in 3D you cant get much faster than the mainstream tools when editing - they pretty much have it as fast as you can get it. The only suggestion is get a slightly better graphics card.

When it comes to rendering - thats a whole different story.

Rendering can be improved by creating a small grid server (simple as loads of old and idle computers connected up) and you can decrease time to render from days / weeks to hours. It is not a simple business to setup or run but when you get it right - the speed is amazing!

If you are using blender - look into Yadra and DrQueue

i understand render farms and software but would i need more than 1 person to create shorts ? like 1 person for modeling and rigging and another for animation and one for voice and all? or can 1 person do it all?

Nope one person can do it all if they really want to I'm doing 2D animation with Pencil great program and I'm doing it all by myself.
