I'm a bit new to this stuff. My first computer was technically this old Pentium P.C. that my parents got. I fooled around with XP then. My first REAL computer was in the age of Vista, where I had a single-core Vostro 1000 from Dell. It sucked. Now, I'm in the realm of the Macintosh, with a MacBook Pro, 13", @2.53Ghz, 4GB RAM, and I have built my own computer as well. That one runs on Ubuntu, and I'm trying to make it run Vista as well, for nostalgia. |

I started on a compaq 80- 286 running dos, then windows 3.1 (installed using 5 1/4" floppies! ). Used to play space quest and captain comic. Then a bit of keen dreams!!! Now I'm running a q6600 overclocked to 3.6ghz 8800gtx 4gb corsair. ASUS p5ke mobo running win7 ultimate water-cooled all home built and play codmw2 crysis etc. Wow how times have changed. |

I belive my first PC was running Windows 95 and was a pre-intel processor, The rest of it was cheap junk. |

technically is was a WYSE terminal and not a computer with an acoustic coupler connected to an old bell rotary dial phone. that was cloud computing because everything ran on the UNIX archie connections points at the U of U. |

I stared out using an Apple iMac G3 333Mhz PPC (tray-loading), and now I use a custom built P.C. (2.2Ghz 64-bit AMD) running Ubuntu 9.10.04 (Lucid Lynx). |

My first computer was a Commodore 64. It was very old when I got it (for free as a gift from my wife's uncle) in the late 80s. It connected to a TV as it's monitor. I now have The Mac Pro, 8 core, 64bit workstation with 16GB Ram. WHEWHOO! It's a Beast! |
