I want to buy a 3rd generation iPod Touch since my 1st generation iPod Touch cannot be upgraded to the iOS 4.0, and I LOVE the new features of iOS 4.0. I wanted to get like $200 for it so it would be like a $100 upgrade to a 3rd generation. It is in perfect condition, it has lived in a hard case since I took it would of the packaging, and I originally paid $400 for it.

Most likely $50. But remember, in order to use all the features on a 3rd Gen iPod Touch, you must have a 64 or 32gb version. Also, if I were you, I would wait till September when the 4th gen iPod Touch comes out, that is rumored to have a 2 megapixel camera on the back. The 3rd Gen iPod Touch prototype had a 2 megapixel camera on the back, but it seems they didn't have enough time to finish the software, and/or hardware for it to be released, so they just went without. This year it seems they are ready. Wait till September.

I've heard about the addition of a camera too. Also I'm pretty sure the 64 and 32 GB iPod touches are the only ones considered 3rd generation.

I would say maybe $50. The first generation lacks so much not many people would be willing to buy it. You can get the 3d generation for $200 lowering the price of the second generation and the 1st generation. Why would people buy a used 1st gen for the price of a new 3rd gen.

You could probably get around $100 for it. Because it is old and has no speaker and a slower processor it won't be as much, but who knows you might find someone to pay $200 for it.

I highly doubt $200. For that money you can get a new 8gb iPod touch

I am guessing 100-150 for it, know it is a slower processor, no speaker, older, etc

Probably about £50. I paid £55 for a first generation, second hand, 16GB iPod touch. It's crap but i am going to sell it and but a 4th generation iPod. Hope this helps :)

It's been more than a year since anyone posted from here, but I'd say now? $30. An iPod Touch 1G isn't worth that much anymore since it's 3 gens behind and hasn't been updated since 2010.
