I've been a member here for some time now and I like it, but I can't stand that when I stay signed into Yahoo! Messenger, that it alerts me when someone posts an answer to something I've already answered. I honestly don't know anything I couldn't care less about. I just want to post my questions, or my answers, and get alerts when someone answers one of my questions, or if I get a rank-up, and that's it. It's annoying to hear Yahoo! every five minutes, binging me, and binging me, and binging me. It drives me right up the wall, and I've gotten like eight alerts--OH NO! Scratch that! Nine!-since I've started typing this at 8:00, and it's 8:03. It's really bugging me, and I wish I could edit what it should alert me for.
Here's a couple pictures to explain to you how fast it comes at me.
Yeah, fricken annoying. UPDATE; Okay, well some reason the picture's didn't come through, annoying, but I also have an answer, and thanks for the help. I've only been here two days, and I don't know all of what I'm doing here. Thanks for not being a bunch of flaming jerks as well and not calling me a n00b. |

go to your profile. click on user tools click email notification settings and select no notifications for the ones that you don't want thumbs up if i helped |

First, the pictures didn't come up. Second, I think you could change the notifications that you get from your account settings. |

You could change the settings of the email alerts of someone answering a question you subscribed by asking or answering it. Go to your profile, then under user tools, there is email notification settings, and in there you could change the settings to stop the email annoyance. |

It's fine for me. I'm really okay with emails when I can just mass delete them. |
