You seem to be an extremely poor tagger. I'm going to leave this one to you.

The very first "website" I joined was probably a Bulletin Board System telnetted (http://www.telnetbbsguide.com/) to the Internet whereby I could login as a user and browse the system as though I had dialed in with a dialup modem.

If that doesn't count since it was over the telnet rather than the HTTP (World Wide Web) protocol ...it was probably a user authentication form on my university's student-accessible World Wide Web server.

The very first website I joined was called United-TI (http://unitedti.org/). It centers around Texas Instrument calculators. Mainly programming them. Back around that time I had just bought my first TI-83+, and was very eager to begin making programs and games on it. So I found my way to UTI. Thinking back, that site is actually the reason that I created my email address in the first place (it needed email verification).
