I have on from this series. =D Just isn't Python it's programming in general. The language it uses is JustBasic.

I don't read programming books, but you have to start off with the really simple stuff like Boolean, binary etc. Start off with vb then make your way to C.

Get Code Complete 2 to get a good understanding of software and development in general. Then go look at the language of your choice.
