I have used many brands of routers. My first router i owned about 4 years ago was a Linksys and it failed catastrophically . I also work as a tech. And have seen many problems with Linksys everything from complete disconnection to Not working at all. I personally now use a apple airport extreme because if found it to be the most reliable out of the brands i have used.

However i would like to know if i can recommend Linksys now ,because most people can't stomach 179 dollars for a router =D .

If you don't recommend Linksys. What brand would you recommend i tell people that isn't to expensive :) ?

Yes Lynksis and Cisco have improved greatly, I have one of their routers for awhile, the only thing that I would change about them is I would pre-load them with DD-WRT. That interface and settings is better to manage than the Linksys one.

I have a Linksys router that I bought just over a year ago. And I really haven't had any issues with it.

Long answer Yes but not as-well as Dlink. Short answer No. My opinion of course.

My Linksys router works fine. I haven't had more than one or two problems with it. It was very simple to get it back to normal.
