In your opinion How many USB ports should computers or your dream computer have? |
my laptop only has three and theyre all used up atm. i wouldnt mind having five, but anything more than that i kind of unnecessary, unless you are running a lot of accessories with your computer |
as far as i can know we only need 50 characters to answer this question |
As many as possible. Probably around 50 so I won't need to worry about having to little USB ports. But with 50 of them there won't be much room for other things on the back of the computer. |

Most USB hubs will only juice up a certain number of devices anyway, due to power limitations. You wouldn't want to put 50 devices on a single hub, because that would place the hub under pressure both speed-wise and leccy-wise. 4 per hub is a good number. If you need more ports, get another hub (internal or external). They're cheap enough... I don't even believe built-in USB ports are necessary, to be honest. You can get firewire (IEEE1394) to USB cables. I'd be extremely happy with 4 IEEE1394 ports instead of 4 USB ports, because 1394 is far more versatile. It can emulate ethernet too :) |

I think around 7 for normal computers would be enough. For my dream computer I would take around 40 USB ports. |
Right now, I'm using 8 USB ports. At the place I work at, we're coming out with computers that have 10 USB ports built in. So I'm gonna go with 10. |
Well I got 6 USB ports on my desktop PC - 2 in the front and 4 in the back. |

I think an awesome number would 100 USB Ports. Then, you can never complain with not having an extra USB Port. Just saying! |
