Hi all,

I turned my computer on today and I saw that the taskbar now looks like '98 Here it is

I've tried everything, like installing themepacks The error

but it doesn't work. Can anyone help?

best thing to do would be Google all the software you recent installed and look for other negative feedback, try restoring your system to an older date, although its not my favorite course of action.

type dxdiag at the bottom then press enter then click yes.

Click the the Save all information button at bottom of the dialog, open the text file select all then copy and paste on this website.

Your drivers are installed and everything seems to be good.

The theme service could be disabled. You can enable it by going into the start menu and typing services.msc and hitting enter.

Scroll down, right click on themes then click properties. alt text

Change startup type to automatic then click start.

I don't like suggesting this except as a last resort, but have you tried doing a System Restore back a couple days? I find it helps fix those strange glitches.

If nothing works and its that important to you, do what I do. FORMAT FORMAT FORMAT. Backup your files to an external device and format. This doesn't seem like something normal. Probably one of the weirdest glitches I have come across. The Windows 7 Superbar turning into the Windows 98 Taskbar. Super strange.
