Windows 7 is available in six different editions, but only Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate are widely available for retail purchase. Which edition of Windows 7 are you running and why did you choose it over the others (cost, specific features, etc?)

@ageekmom I know this is off topic, but I can't find your contact details on your website or twitter.

I have Ultimate... and the reason is because Microsoft gave it to me for free :) Signature Edition, it's signed by Steve Ballmer.

I have Home Premium, I came with my computer and I don't really see a reason why I need the features in Pro and Ultimate.

I have Home Premium because I had no choice. That's what my OEM gave me.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate for pretty much the same reasons cusinndzl stated.

I like to have every feature available for me to use and not have some lower end version.

Home premium has everything I need. It's 64 bit but can run 32 bit applications. The price for ultimate is not really worth it for what extra you get for most users.

Pro/Ultimate give you the following extra features:

Domain Join, BitLocker, 35 extra languages, Windows XP mode & Extra network backup facilities.

All of these I really don't need especially for the price hike.

Using Amazon as my guide for the full versions which include 32&64 bit it's*:

Home premium - £98

Pro - £158

Ultimate £165

For features vs value for money Home prem is the best for me.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate... Again, being a power user, I want to be able to use all the features an OS offers... However its rare that I use it nowadays due to now having an iMac and Macbook Pro...

I have Windows 7 Home Premium, since it was the best value for me, and it's not my primary operating system on my primary machines.
