I think my first display was about 9 inches when I first has Windows 3.1. Ah fun times.

My first display was about 13 inches, it was a CRT, and the power button was broken so I had to stick a wad of paper under the button to keep it depressed so the screen would stay on.

this is almost exactly me personal experience, but it was under the contrast button to keep it from having a mind of its own.

let's see...my oldest display...I think it was something along the lines of 12-14 inch? Sorry, it has been such a long time...I can't remember where I placed it...so I can't measure it out...

A built-in 12" black/white display with about 8" viewable on my TRS-80 Model 4 Microcomputer. Totally the most awesome CRT ever created. Well not really, but the whole computer, built-in monitor, still works, with no replaced parts. The top floppy went out about a year ago though, but the bottom one works fine.

I wish my family had kept its TRS-80 Model IV! That, and our Tandy Co-Co (Color Computer) are long gone from our collection, sadly.

It was a possibly 15" CRT monitor that had a resolution of something like 640x480. It was made when I was born!

I had an Apple II+ with a 12" color monitor. The whole setup - 64k with dual floppy drive - cost $3,000.
