Also, I don't get a 404. I'll try fixing the URL anyway.

According to the specs its a good laptop, but i think you could get it cheaper off tigerdirect.com

I think it was on there for a $100 less.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6077158&Sku=S445-150056

theres the link, its refurbished but cheaper, and if there is anything wrong with it you can return it i think for 30 days after getting it.

My backup computer is a Gateway M275 Convertible Tablet PC Pentium M 1.7 GHz. It's never let me down. I'm unsure about the other Gateway laptops. Good luck, and read some reviews.

my friend used to run an acer gaming laptop, and traded it in for a gaming one. from what he says, its a lot more reliable with less bugs and crashing.

I just purchase a Gateway NV59C from Costco. Their normal price was 799, last month they ran a special for 699, and then later COSTCO sent me a store gift card for 50. I have been very happy with the machine to date. Extremely capable of using many windows at once without getting bogged down. Internet connectivity is good with the internal wireless adapter. I love the backlit screen and the keyboard is very functional. I like how the keys are separated by about 1/8 inch becasue I have a tendency to "fat-finger" the keys, so this helps my typing speed. I have not had occasion to use technical support so cannot comment on that.

Most of the gateway laptops I have owned are always breaking. I do have a Gateway TA1 M280 Tablet PC now though that I have had no problems with at all, runs great!
