I'm looking for people who had difficulties keeping with tasks because there was simply to much to catch up. I tend to have "task tracking fatigue" and get away doing something else instead of constantly focusing on one single project, or one at a time that is. It seems being good with multi-tasking affected my overall progress, and using different solutions means spreading all that important data in multiple formats, multiple apps, making the recovering from those sources long and not fun. How do you parse through it? Do you have any technique that can help staying on track, or motivate myself doing so in a natural way? |

Tell yourself that it has to be done, it can't be avoided, eat food, break in between, listen to music. anything really that you think will help. |
|
You just have to force yourself to do it, and if anything is good to come out of it at the end you will realise it is worth it. Listen to music while you are doing it also. |

What I do is keep imagining how it would be when the final product is finished. That way you have a goal to work for, and know that it's gonna be just how you want it if you keep going. |

This is a biggie for me too. Two things you might try are Google Desktop or MS OneNote. With them you can use "keywords" to group projects and ideas. I've tried them both and honestly, I'm resistant to using them and I don't know why. My computer guru wouldn't be without OneNote and says I'm "missin' the boat" by not using it. He believes it's a productivity tool on steroids. |

I am currently building a web-site, (all Australian Postage Stamps ever released) currently I have all stamps from 1913 to 1996 listed with all the respective information, if I tried to simply list them all without a break, I would get tired very quickly as there is simply so much information, so I break it up, I work on one section for a time, then break away and work on a different section, things are not so boring if you chop and change, (even something you love doing can get boring over time) when I start to get physically tired of typing or positioning information, I then work on sorting other information off line, or I may just take a break completely and do something else, just stopping and doing the washing up can revitalize your whole system, yet if I sat down and watched a movie that would keep me physically and mentality active and I would not be taking a break, in this case I would be as tired as I was when I stopped after the movie, taking a break means just that. |

Doing my work at a public place like a library helps me stay focused on the work I'm doing. I can't go and decide I want to do something else because all my other work is at my house and you can't just laze around doing nothing because your in a public place. |

Make a list and divide your task into smaller task and assign that you do them on a reasonable amount time. After each task check it and go to next one, if you didn't do all your tasks in the right amount time simply do them the next day and start over again until you got them all. Also take small breaks when you do something, say i'll take 10 min and then return. Hope this helps. |
