You know searching for people you once knew in the past is a pain in the neck. (trust me, anyone under 20 years of age, this will happen to you) - Smart people can come up with the best program ever invented, but not everyone is going to use it. You type in the name of someone you once knew in Facebook and 150 people come up, some have no picture and feck all information. Maybe Facebook could do something better. ---- But it's the big kid on the block that could help, Google, everyone uses Google or maybe this is an opening for Bing --- They can promote it better and the search fields can be simple and pinpoint - not all fields required but basic info to narrow the search field

  1. name
  2. country
  3. town
  4. school or town you went to school
  5. the year you went to school or college - example '75-'80 x school then '81-'85 y school then '86-'91 z school and so on...
  6. part time jobs you worked at and year
  7. more info ( you get the gist)

What do you think, would you like to see a better search field to find people you once knew? Ok, you might have very little in common with them when you find them but would you just want to see if they are alive and well, married and to see a picture of them at least. Say hello and goodbye to them.

There are website designed to do this. This page gives several of them, including links. Most of the results are free, but some are not, so be sure you know what you're clicking on.
