Okay, maybe it's a trick question. The world has been forced to sit idle and wait for a private corporation to do something; the United States government has been completely ineffective in putting a cap on the situation. Here's my real question: what can the average person actually DO about the situation? What changes can we effectively make in our patterns? |

One BP has done enough damage; the thought of what multiple BPs could damage is just sickening. |
JUST ... ONE!!!!! Very sad event. They better be trying |
It only takes 1 to ruin the summer for people in the gulf of mexico. |
It only takes one TERRIBLE BP to destroy the environment. |
Fly a plain around the spill and get up as much oil as possible. Then sell the oil. Lol. |
an average person? I guess we could go over there and help rescue animals and try to keep the oil from spreading averywhere...there's not a lot that we can do... |
the average person can simply bring this subject and make it known. being an effective write and being able to get the word out can help bring about change. |
Any changes that we make now are optimistic, but just a tad too late. The tundra is melting. That'll release an explitive-load of methane that will do far more harm than the CO2 or oil we have released. I agree, that something should be done ASAP, but it's too late anyway. The destruction of the planet is a natural process that we, the human race, have managed to "contribute" towards drastically. |
an average person alone cannot do anything about it. but if we unite and take some violent action against them oil company and Obsama then we might see some changes. Plus companies needs to focus on renewable source of energy, if they were to mass produce solar and electric cars then the price would go down and everyone could afford it. |

Sadly, only one BP can ruin the Gulf.
@MichaelTheGeek2: Would you prefer a world where many BPs could ruin the gulf?
