Need help with a FTP server

Aup people

I am using file zilla server and i am connected to a LAN (Netgear router) and i want to connect to my computer from out side my LAN? I heard i have to do this using the passivemode settings. Can anyone help me with this or recommend a decent FTP server which is layed out better?

2	You need to forward port 21 to the FTP server's IP address via the router's virtual server configuration. answered Jun 13 '10 at 19:34 tsilb 21.0k●65●199●333
