Mine is Smultron, unfortunately the guy that made it has stopped working on it. What is your favorite text editor? |
|
A lot of the time, I'll just use TextEdit. But, when I want the syntax highlighting and tabbing to be more convenient, I'll just fire up Espresso. Yeah, I know it's not just a text editor, but it does what I want it to do. So does Dashcode, actually. |

I love using sourceforge project notepad ++ or i just use good old ms notepad |
|
PSPad by far. I had asked Kat one day to ask Chris what a good one was, and since then I haven't been happier with a text editor. Although you will probably get those elitist's that say notepad or nothing, just ignore them. |

Eclipse ftw i use eclipse as my text editor of choice :p |
|
on mac os x? i love textmate. bbedit is jez too unwieldy for me. also, you do know there's a couple of windowing emacs for mac os x, right? gnu emacs for mac os x and also aqua macs. |

On Windows - Notepad++ (your answer must contain at least 25 characters) |
|
10 PRINT "NOTEPAD" 20 PRINT "FTW" 30 GOTO 10 Actually that's basic... Don't use notepad for that! Hah |

Ah, you want Fraise - the successor to Smultron (and just as free): http://www.fraiseapp.com/
Thanks Chris, that's great!
Awe, mac only :(....
Thanks for telling me about fraise because I liked smultron.
