What do you think will be announced at this years Apple WWDC? I would really like other peoples thoughts on this subject here are mine; New Mac Pros – By June, it will have been over a year since the last update to the Mac Pro line. I think the reason we’ve not seen an update in so long is that Apple is working on a new processor scheme for them. The word on the street is the new ‘Gulftown’ chips from Intel, there might also be AMD processors powering the next Mac Pros. I think we might also see a new case design for the Pro line, too. The current design looks like a cheese grater, and has been around since 2003. There’s no longer any reason to have such excessive ventilation in the machines; the huge grilles were originally needed to keep the red-hot G5 chip cool with air. The Mac Pro needs no such cooling with its more efficient Intel processors. New Cinema Displays- I think we’re finally going to see an end to the 30 inch display, hopefully in favour of a 27 display identical to the one in the iMac. I haven’t heard about a replacement 24 display, but don’t be surprised if it’s cut to 21, again following the lead of the iMac. Supported all the necessary buzzwords: LED-backlit, IPS, widescreen, Mini DisplayPort, etc. All but one: High-resolution. If you think Apple will sneak in resolution independence in a minor OS update, you’re wrong: those developers which (still!) aren’t ready to go high-res will suffer from not having the advance warning of the developer pre-release seeds which are spread before a major system update. iPhone 4G Release- I think it will be identical to the prototype that Gizmodo found. Seams, screws, everything. Ugly or Not I think its inevitable. iPhone OS 4.0 Release- This will definitely be coming out, with the launch of the new iPhone |

Hey Guys, I have updated my Predictions based on rumors, and second thoughts. The Next iPhone and iPhone OS 4.o: Apple has discontinued the iPhone 3g, we have seen leaked prototypes of the new iPhone all over websites. The release of the new iPhone is the main headline of the event and WILL happen. Since we know a lot of the details already based on leaks and videos etc. the question is, Is the new iPhone going to be the exact model we have seen in leaks? CDMA iPhone on Verizon: A rumor has been floating around for a while that there is a CDMA version of the iPhone. AT&T has been the sole carrier of the iPhone since its launch 3 years ago. But there are many speculations going around the that iPhone will be making its way to Verizon sometime this year. iPad OS 3.3/3.2.1: This is definitely due. Apple acknowledged the Wi-Fi issue which has been a problem for some iPad users since launch. Apple has promised to fix this issue via a new firmware update. Since no update has been released yet, I think that they will finally announce it at WWDC. iTunes streaming: With the acquiring of the famous online music streaming service Lala, I think that Apple is going to give iTunes streaming capabilities. Allowing users to stream music from their iTunes anywhere. This would be a HUGE step in the right direction. MacBook Air: It has been a long time since Apple has last updated the MacBook Air. It is expected that that MacBook Air will be getting a better graphics processor and upgraded RAM. Mac Mini: It is expected that the the Mac Mini will be getting a better graphics processor and upgraded Ram, as well as an HDMI port. Cinema Display Update: I think the 30 inch display will be replaced with a 27 inch display identical to the iMacs. Free Mobile Me: Those of you who have been using Apple’s MobileMe service might have noticed a slight change in “your Account Type” status for the last week or so. It now reads “Full Member” instead of “Free Member” or “Individual” which hints at a possibility that Apple might be making this service free after all. Keep the predictions coming guys. :) Thumbs up all around! Safari 5: Apple is expected to give Safari a major update with tons of new features over any of the previous versions in a quest to make it a superior browser compared to Google Chrome, which has been getting very popular recently. Snow Leopard Final Release: Testing of OS X 10.6.4 has been going on for a while now. Apple is expected to push the final version of Snow Leopard out this Monday. This release while mainly bring performance and stability enhancements. A sneak Peak at OS X 10.7: Even though the main emphasis of this years’ WWDC will be around iPhone and iPhone apps, there is still a chance of Apple giving an early sneak peak at the next version of OS X and all of its new offerings. |

New iPhone, iChat / video conferencing for iPhone, possible new AppleTV update. 3GS 16gig going down to $99, possible preview of Mac OS X 10.7. Edit: I had forgotten, there is a slight chance in the introduction of the very well known patented iPhone Nano:
The drawing is from a published patent filed by Apple. |

I think they'll be releasing an update for the Mac Pro, iPhone 4, new Apple TV, maybe an iPod touch with camera, iPhone OS4, new Macbooks and new Mac Mini. |
|
Definetly iPhone 4G and iPhone OS 4.0. Maybe a possibility of Safari and new Macbooks. |
|
I agree with some of that. I believe we will see new macs running on AMD processors (maybe and hopefully not just Mac Pros). Also, I think we will hear about new iPhones similar to the leak that appeared on the news a while back, running a new iPhone OS. I think that another topic to be discussed is the Apple TV, especially since it was announced by Google that they would be releasing a similar product. New Apple TVs might run iPhone OS to compete with Google's Android OS that might be on their TV product. That is what I predict will all be discussed in this conference. |
|
Hopefully lower prices of Apple products :) It will be mostly about the next iPhone and I think a new iPod, and the Apple TV. |

New iPhone. Apple TV update, with cloud storage, etc. Statistics on iPod, iPhone, iPad, Macbook(Pro), and iMac. Also a Mac Pro update could possibly be coming. (6 core Processor) Thats all i think will happen. |
|
Safari 5 and mac 10.7 new iPhone and also Mac pro refresh |

I think that possibly they could show ilife X and iwork X (I havent put 10 as I think they will go in to X now, a lot of their other things have, Mac OS X, Quicktime X, etc.) and maybe another mac, but I'm not that sure... |
