The other day, my friend accidently dropped the laptop on the desk. Now, when I go the start it up, the screen goes to a dark grey and the fan starts making a lot of noise. Can anyone help? |

Sounds like it's a write-off. Sorry to say it, but these things are fragile and best not dropped. |

How old is the machine? If it's under manufacturers warranty you may be able to get away with claiming it was breakdown, a(as long as there's no evidence of impact damage) otherwise check if it's covered by househould insurance. It sounds like it may need a new main board. |
