Is MobileMe worth the money to buy? Or is it just a big waste of $100 bucks?

Yes if you are on an iPhone/iPad. If you want to use it just to get the location I would recommend using Prey (a free piece of software I strongly recommend). I remember Chris doing a video on Prey here.

MobileMe is only worth the money if you like the web apps as they are. I subscribed to the service because I love the e-mail app and I couldn't live without the syncing of contacts, mail, and calendar with my iPhone. This is coming from a Windows 7 user that can't take full advantage of some of the other features since I can't use iPhoto and iWeb.

This services fills my needs with web apps that I enjoy using. It's worth the price for me and feels more like a luxury. Choose this service if it's right for you and your needs.

Miss placing your iPhone in your car and saving yourself 5 extra minutes of retracing your steps is not worth $100 a year. And find your phone anywhere? Lol, go ask Wil I Am (Black Eyed Peas) if that find my iPad did him any good when he was outside the thief's house and the cop's raided it.

For Mac users: Kinda For iPhone/iPad users: MUST For non Apple users: NO

Many Mac apps have seamless integration that makes it easy to store, sync and create with this service.

Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.i.am had $10,000.oo worth of jewelry and other items including an iPad stolen from his Bentley in Hollywood Hills.  He used his iPad’s GPS tacking to trace the iPad.  He gave the police the information who were able to recover some of his belonging and it is said that an arrest will be made soon.  Good thing he had a mobileme account so he could use find my iPad!
