So today i got my new headset, its a Creative Fatal1ty gaming headset, earphones work good but the microphone just dont wanna work, not much to explain than that i have it plugged into the front port of my HP Pavillion and i'm running windows vista (i'm going to upgrade to 7 sooner or later).. I've tried changeing the settings to some diffrent settings but it does not wanna work. Any suggestions how to fix it? Right now i have no clue what to do.. |

Actually it was because 2 other devices was enabled and the computer could not handle them all at the same time so i had to disable them too. Problem solved. |

well you must always conciser the fact that the microphone is broke, try putting it into a different computer, use sound recorder to see if it is picking up sound... if it does work that means some thing is wrong with your pavillion, try a different microphone in the computer, this should also not work, this is where it gets hard: it could be that a setting is messed up, or the hardware is not working right |

I know this might sound stupid, but have you checked to make sure the switch on the mike is not on mute? I'm just sayin....happened to me more than once. |
