I want to stop it from going to sleep so I can hold it more easily when I am listening to Podcasts and have to do something. I have rummaged through the power settings but there is nothing about what you want it to do when press the power button etc...

You should check out Caffeine. It's an app that keeps your computer from going to sleep or activating your screensaver. I'm pretty sure that it's PowerPc compatible.

Thank you =) but it doesn't keep it on when I close the lid. So weird that apple didn't incorporate it into power options.

InsomniX - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/22211/insomniax

Its PowerPC Compatible but you have to have Leopard or higher.

And its designed to stop the computer from sleeping when the lid is closed.
