So my protection on my PC is Kaspersky 2010, MalwareBytes (free), SuperAntiSpyware (free) and Firefox w/ WOT and ABP. What is your protection build? For mine I think its perfect for me so far. Not a single virus in years. |

My laptop is very very safe, its under the table in a bag, gathering dust whilst I use my macs... So its probably the safest PC on the planet... lol Besides, I haven't had a virus on any PC ihave used for at least 10 years, sensible surfing is the answer! :) |

Im using windows, I never get viruses anymore. You just gotta know the right stuff and play it smart. I don't even have anti-virus hell. |
|
I have used AVG, Avast, Kaspersky, Norton, and McAfee all in the past and viruses have manged to get through. Now I am using Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes and have not had anything get through that either of them didn't catch. And before everyone downs MS, it is a fairly decent product for free and they have seemed to really put some effort into making it that way. |

Really safe :) I have a Windows HP Tablet with Avast, Malwarebytes and Windows Defender and Prey installed in case it gets stolen :) |
|
I am also using Microsoft Security Essentials with Malwarebyte's, Spybot, and Hijack This. I have not had an actual virus on my computer in about a year but that is because I don't play it safe at all. I intentionally go out and see what kind of trouble I can get into. I don't keep any personal data on my computer and I am not afraid to reinstall if need be. I do this to keep my skills sharp because this is how I make my living. |

I use Trend Micro Internet Security, with the highest and secure settings set on everything, and have a password set. I also kept UAC enabled on my computer, and I have it set for me to enter my password. (In fact, when I get Windows 7, I'll put it on the highest setting). I have Windows and Trend Micro to automatically update, and I update other programs on a weekly basis (or immediately if there is a critical security update), and do a virus scan at least every week. I also have ClamWin Portable installed on my external hard drive (I use Portable Apps). I have a BIOS password set, a startup password through syskey set, requiring to press Control+Alt+Delete set, and for me to have to enter my username and password. I also don't use Firefox's (or any other browser's) password managers. I don't have and sites to remember passwords, and have private data to clear on exit. |

Never, never, never use more than one virus protection at one time! If there's more than one then they will be attacking each other, because they think that the virus program is the virus. And actually there's really no point at having more than one. You wont get any viruses if you know where not to go. My PC is pretty secure. |

I use 360 for everyday protection for my laptop. i password protect sensitive files and encrypt using PGP. I also have a tracking and recovery program. |

My computer is free as a bird in a cage, and if you think that your pc is not as free as mine, your wrong!! |

Its extremely bad to use more than 1 Anti-Virus protection at one time. It can also leave your computer less secure than you would think. Multiple firewalls can attack each other, therefore causing exploits in which viruses can get through.
He is not using more than 1. Malwarebyte's and SuperAntiSpyware are anti-malware programs. There is a difference between anti-virus and anti-malware.
Anti-malware = Antispyware/antivirus
Having more than one of either is actually less safe than having one.
