I would go to space in a heartbeat and I would absolutely love to spend time on the International Space Station (ISS)!
In total, there have been approximately 517 humans that have traveled to space -- here's Wikipedia's list of space travelers by name. This includes non-astronaut space travelers, meaning people who have traveled to space but not as employees of a national space program (sometimes they are rather dismissively and inaccurately referred to as "space tourists.")
At this very moment, there are currently 3 people in space, aboard the International Space Station! Very soon (June 16, 2010), they'll be joined by three more crewmates (launching aboard Soyuz TMA-19 from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan), and they'll all be serving the standard 6-month rotation on Station.
Here's an awesome list of spaceflight records -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_spaceflight_records

Right now, there are 6 people in space:
Total, there have been 454 people in space as of 2007:
It is probably more now.

After the launch of STS-127 (Space Shuttle Endeavour) to the ISS, there will have been 500 people who have flown to space. (The launch will be around July.) So as of now, 499 people have been to space.
This reference is slightly outdated. There are, I think, just over 500.
