Living a brilliant, better-than average life includes a willingness to consider your mortality. As people use technology to answer all kinds of questions and problems in medicine and science, I have to wonder how we could use technology to probe the spirit. Do we live on after death? Where does our energy matter go? In the 1980's a movie called "Brainstorm" was released. In it a scientist and a designer create a headset that allows you to record emotions and memories created by brainwave patterns, allowing someone else to view and experience them as well. When another scientist has a heart attack and dies while recording her experiences, the movie explores one imaginary tour of what death is. If you knew that your "energy" lived on beyond your body, would it change how you lived? What kinds of technology do you wish we had to capture the point of departure (when the spirit/energy leaves the body in death)? |

I had a near death experience when I wounded in Vietnam. I saw myself lying on the ground and then went into the light. I knew I was death and remember saying that to myself. As fast as I went to the light, I was back in my body. I've know people that have experienced almost the same thing. This convinces me that there really is a life after death and no one will ever convince me otherwise. |

GREAT QUESTION!!! I'd tackle this by tracking the before & after death changes in a controlled clean room. Every change from Light, EMF, Audio, Quantum Flux, Brainwaves, etc. would be recorded. What can be tracked between the land of the living & afterlife? A modified GPS unit would need to be invented. Ghost Radar says it gives ghosts somethings to interact with, but I'm still skeptical. The Weight of the Soul (21 grams), needs to be re-visited under more controlled conditions as stated above. What exactly is this 21 grams, where did it go, and can we tag/track it? ...... Let me think this over more

This National Geographic documentary explores the physical and psychological changes experienced by the human body in the moments before and after death. When does a person really die, and what happens at that precise second when life ends? While the subject both frightens and fascinates, understanding both the science of death and the ways in which our bodies hold it off are key to understanding the complete cycle of human life ... more |

Great question! Nothing else to say, really. I'm sure to watch all of these documentaries and the movie you mentioned. It sure is fascinating to know more about it.
