Both networks are great!! I use them religiously but what social network will die first (or even lose its popularity) down the road?? Honestly I think........actually... i really dont know.. LOL

Facebook will die first. The are so many privacy concerns and the site is hard to do stuff on. Twitter on the other hand is nice and simple and easy to use and 140 characters is easy to express what you want to say. |

I don't think either will die, at least not anytime soon. It took Geocities 15 years to fade into oblivion, afterall. I do think Twitter is highly likely to be purchased by some other entity, maybe even Facebook, at some point. Facebook has shown itself eminently capable of generating revenue and turning a profit, which is more than can be said for Twitter thus far. Both are firmly here to stay for the long haul, though, I think. That doesn't mean I think they won't both see major changes over the years, though. It'd worry me if they didn't adapt, actually. |

I doubt that either Twitter nor Facebook will die any time soon. I'm sure they will eventually be bought out by Google. Although, I must say, I would hate for Google to our most popular social networks. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Google but I like being tied to many different companies, not just one, that way I can't really be controlled... If you get what I mean. |

They will both eventually combine, then Google will become interested and buy them out, at which point something new will have already started and people will start on that. So, both at the same time. |
|
I don't use twitter, nobody cares about my life really. Maybe if I was a celebrity or internet star like chris. |
|
I think that Facebook will die just like Myspace. There will still be some people using it, but everyone else will be somewhere else. Who knows where that somewhere else will be? |
|
Facebook I think because more people will create personal blogs and features that Facebook has, maybe added to email. Twitter is very original has very little in common with other social networking methods. So it has it's own niche that can only be taken over by a rival company that works similar to Twitter. Kind of like how Facebook took a good portion of the market from Myspace. |

Very few, "regular people" use Twitter. SO among geeks, Facebook will die first. But Twitter will live on. On the other side, the general population will stay with Facebook. |
