This is the most serious question I ever queried on lockergnome.net

I have two ideas for two very different websites for what I think would generate profit and enhance public education. If marketed right one could become an indispensable tool for the public and the other could educate people in a new way that would be fun and cool.

Idea one would be a rather large database to maintain on a regular bases. Idea two would require a bit of programing and hands on technical Radio Shack kinda know how. Of course a team of website designers that work closely with both sites.

I have taken tablets and mobiles into consideration for both sites so this to would require app devs.

My problem is I really think they're good ideas and I just don't want them to get stolen from me. I would love to see them see the light of day and reach there full potential for me and the betterment of society at large. However I have no real assets to launch quiet an undertaking, so how does one find the proverbial "Billy Mays" of tech venture capitalists to pitch to? [link text][1]

well if you dont want people to steal your idea, get a patent and do so quick. a patent will prove that you where the original creator of such a thing.

if i was a large inverter (which by no means am i) i would want to see a small scale prototype, do you have one? anyways if you get a patent an investor will be more apt to invest in it, because he knows it is backed by some thing solid and no one can reproduce.

Thank you but its more of an idea. Kinda like wikipedia and google. then the other idea is a service that would be charged for. Both i have yet to find anywere on the net. So the thing is i would have to be first cause it would be copied so i would have to have a strong start to get public fallowing.

The best approach, in my opinion, would be the same approach that any decent employer takes for a potential employee. Come up with a set of questions, send them off to the potential candidates and analyse the responses you get. Ask questions that obtain values/beliefs about education and marketing. I have to be honest, you'd be lucky to get a response if you're not willing to front up and suggest that you have money to invest in a project, but you might get lucky. To ask valuable questions, you'll really need to understand a little bit about marketting. From what I gather, you already understand the education aspect.
