I like the look of the new Mac mini mainly because of its price, but I want to have a computer that I can use iMovie on. I have never owned a Mac before so this wiould be my first one. I have never done video editing before. Do I buy a Mac mini and get it sooner or do I wait a few months so that I can save up more money and get an iMac?

For starters, I would buy a refurbished Mac Mini, to see if you'll like it or not, which, you definitely will, so then you will continue to buy everything Apple.

Yes. It is directed for starter users. I don't own a Mac Mini, but because of its simplicity, I think it would be good for a first time user.
