Youtube will die when the community dies, and the youtubers die, and the trolls rise up, and Ray William Johnson die!

Well, will youtube die that's a hard one. there has been lots of great empires that fell. on that note is it part of Google and if so will Google go to.

YouTube is not a living or breathing creature. Anything that is not alive can not die.

Will it fail, fade out, go away, become less popular & less used at some point when something better comes along then yes it will happen but the real question would be when will it happen.

People tend to loose interest in things, become bored and move on to something new...

Perhaps, only time will tell. I don't see Youtube going anywhere anytime soon though.

+1, of course it will die someday. The real question is when.

If you think YouTube will be up for eternity, that is 99.99% WRONG.

Nothing will last forever, not even the whole entire universe itself. Not even time. I know it may sound too exaggerated, but the whole point is that nothing will last forever. YouTube might shut down one day. Who knows?

The man (or in this case, website) can die, but the ideal never will. Free reign video sharing will always be around, but the outlet can change if youtube dosn't end it's law problems well, currently.

I don't really think that YT will die soon, or within the next year. I do believe, however, YouTube IS going downhill and this is a possible thought.

YouTube will never die... Even if the copyright laws block every single music video on the website the community will keep sharing video about everything... i think that eventually the video sharing community will grow so big that the records companies will recognize that they can't go against evolution and find some ways of expanding the market to all of this websites that shares free content so you can get legal downloads *

I don't ever think Youtube will die, I believe it will just keep on getting bigger and better. As of right now, only time will be able to tell with these large sites.

I don't think that it's going to die. However, they do need to improve on bandwidth. Otherwise competing sites that are smaller and are starting up with the concept of video (and live video, which YouTube has never seemed to grasp) will take over.

I don't expect it to happen anytime soon though.
