You probably don't come on here, but this needs to be answered, lmao. No, you don't need a tuning adaptor for HD channels as they come in for you in the 647-800 channel marks.

647 in Manhattan starts with MAV TV and to 800 with the Spanish channels or DTV en Espanol cable package.

That is not correct. Many of the all digital channels cannot be received with only a cable card. I have Tivo boxes with cable cards on Time Warner in NYC. I could not get many of the channels until I caved in and added a tuning adapter. Regular network HD channels will come in without the adapter, but many desirable channels will not.

Really? What channels don't come without an adapter? I get all of them. I don't have a cable-card but I know if you don't have one, you don't get the On Demand channels.
