Apple was really aiming this device to be used in schools. Its not allowed to have a picture capturing device in schools. People could take pictures of the tests and cheat or something. "not allowed in schools" Which schools are you referring to? My school had a bunch of iMacs, all with working webcams. And people carried around personal digital cameras with them freely. thats not actually true, there was a few incidents were students took home school laptops, and the security feature was activated, were the laptop took pictures every 15 minutes and sent them to the school even when off. Nude pictures were taken, and pictues of the studen in underware and in bed along with loads of others. http://boingboing.net/2010/02/17/school-used-student.html http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/04/16/secret_student_pics/ and theres many incidents if you google it. so camera's are in school laptops, but they really shouldnt be. FYI, if you or your child has a school laptop with a web cam on it, tape it up! |

they will release one later as well as a ipod with cam. it's there road map. marketing friend. |
|
they did't put camera in the first model cuz that's how any company works. they don't want to put all the feature at once cuz when second gen comes out they want people to make it worth buying. |
|
they probably didn't release the camera because they were trying to keep the price under $500 the next generation should have one |

How much would people pay for a camera mod?
