Its necessary in my opinion. Imagine if you lost your phone or someone stole it. Keeping a lock screen and password would keep the thief from accessing your information. Totally worth the few seconds it takes to unlock it.

It takes half a second to slide the slider on the iPhone, stop complaining.

I always have my screen locked. You never know who might try to nick your phone and then get your information. Locking is the safe way!

Yes. Definitely. No doubt. I use it very often and I think it's a great thing, no matter on which device you use it. It improves security, and it can prevent battery draining on mobile devices.

What is the loss? You only spend 1-3 seconds on the lock screen anyways, it's not like a huge deal or anything. Besides, like already pointed out, it is a good security feature.

My opinion on this is that you have spent 10 minutes thinking of a question to ask the community and this is the best you could cone up with. It is a daft question it's almost as daft as asking do you like door knobs. (which I absolutely do by the way they're great for entering rooms ect). Oh and by the way it's etc NOT ect ......etcetera
