Hello Everyone! i am going to be buying a new console and its between the new Xbox 360 (slim) or the Playstation 3 slim. I have owned both of them in the past but do to a robbery i don't anymore :( And back then i really liked the ps3 more BUT that was before xbox had that big update last year... So what do you guys think? Also what do you think would be better for media, like for viewing pictures,music,videos etc. Thanks A Lot!! |

These decisions usually come down to the games. If you're indifferent to the game selections than I would go with the one that meets most of your needs. Do you need a Blu-ray player? Are you more interested in Motion or Kinect and the games that come along with each? |

I would go for the XBox because of the massive online gaming network and all of the games that are on the system. If you are big into BluRay I would get a PS3 but only for that reason. You have much more choice and a better network with a Xbox |

Xbox 360 has a higher cost of ownership as compared to the PS3, due to the monthly fees and other price gouging. The PS3 has a lower cost of ownership but it also has fewer games. |

i would rather have the ps3 thats what i got and im perfectly happy with it ironic im watching tv while posting this and theres a commercial for the new xbox on yet i still dont want it |

I prefer the PS3 slim personally, because in my opinion, it looks sleeker, has a better overall build quality, and is remarkably cheap for a blu-ray player. |

I think with the PS3 you will get more bang for your buck. The PS3 is way better than it was years ago because it has about the same games as the 360. Also, this fall and spring will be huge for the PS3 because there are about 5 strong titles coming out. There is also a bluray player and the PSN network is free, granted its not perfect but it get the job done. |

i prefer the ps3 because of the build quality and i think you get more for your money. but it just comes down to what you want your gaming console to have and the games you like the most. |

I would buy them both. They both have a good gaming fell to them and they both have great games to play on them. |

Sony's PS3 is probably the best option as far as what you get for your money, and it's probably more future-proof than the Xbox360. The Xbox360 does have a larger library of games though the real deal breakers are mostly online which requires an XBL subscription. The PS3 on the other hand doesn't require an online subscription and is finally catching up in its library of games. I would say go for the Xbox360 if you're into arcade-style gaming and FPS games, and the PS3 if you like the the occasional big game or original product. |
