I'm terrible at making favorites, when it comes to branding, I normally ignore it unless there is something truly unique about it. A lot of brands that I tend to choose are based on ones that I've known for years. There's a sense of confort and connection with them. When it comes to computers, I look at Dell or HP or Gateway and I simply see the same thing. I don't see any uniqueness out of them, just generic boxes put together with the same parts. When looking at others, like Sony, Panasonic, or lenovo I get a sense of professionalism, these brands tend to pop out more to me. And then there's ones like Apple and Amiga, the uniqueness and design of these products push them away from others on to their own stage, their own class. They may use some similar parts and manufacturing as others, but the end result is far different in many ways. You can tell an amateur chef and a pro chef to make the same plate with the same ingredient, and I bet you there will be a striking difference.

In the end, however, Apple would win, simply because I am more comfortable with that brand. I've known it all my life, longer than any other, and it's uniqueness removes it from the crowd.

My favorite has to be Apple! I would even go as far as to call myself a fanboy. I switched to Mac in 2008 and don't regret it at all. What really made me switch was the operating system. It's very easy to operate, looks beautiful, and the possibility of getting a virus is very small. Also the hardware is built very well and looks great.

As far as brands go, I don't really have a favorite. My desktop is custom built, my notebook is Toshiba, and the machine I use at work is a Dell. For me, it just has to work, but as far as noteboks, I've only ever owned a Toshiba, the first one was a gift, the other two I purchased myself, more or less because it was the best available at the store that I could afford. So much is the same inside these days, it's more about what I can get for the price instead of the actual brand.

My favorite Computer brand is Apple. Back in the day I was a Dell guy but ever since Apple computers have become so reasonable priced they are the only computers that I ever but anymore. I have 2 iMacs, 2 MacBooks, 1 iPad, 2 iPod touches, and a bunch of old Ipods that are not worth mentioning.
