Do I have to un-jailbreak before updating to iOS4?

You have to unjailbreak in order to update. That's how it is when you hack something. To unjailbreak go into DFU mode and go to iTunes and press shift and restore.

When I updated my firmware I didn't unjailbreak.

0	i don't think it is necessary to do it because it will be wiped when you update anyway so there isn't really a point thats how it works apple erases everything to do with the operating system but leaves user data at least thats what i heard answered Jun 21 '10 at 16:50 Monkinto 721●8●13●21
